    roy orbisin fricken RULES!
wakin up at 4:30 am most days is taking its toll on my mind bros.
im starting to do a lot of talking to myself, and getting very stressed out about getting all the prep work done on time.
    blech.
allthough it would be rad to have TWO people opening in the morning. fun, delirious talk.

i want to go back to school.
    i want a tattoo soon.

tomorrow, im getting a numb toe checked out. (mother dearest has me freaked out about diabetes, and it can start in your toes, and they cut them off! AHH!)
and then maybe to porches with andrea. haha, possible diabetes and greasy porches food. well, im walking there, that justifies it!
well, i think the numb toes are from standing too much at work without breaks

hope you all had a good night!

    i hate musical instruments...
i found my bros banjo that he never used, took it in to get fixed.
today as i picked it up a nice brand new acoustie was sitting there, a little outta my price range, a little in it. face it im too picky to buy a super crappy one for really cheap.
i cashed my cheque, came right back and got it after trying every other guitar in the shop.

and now i feel bad for spending money. in the last month ive purchased a bike and a guitar.
THATS TOO MUCH, SUBWAY IS GIVING ME TOO MUCH MONEY!

this is for you kids to tell me not to buy big things anymore until i start saving up a lot more for other funds. okay?! OKAY!

...allthough im quite stoked i ran into that nice piece of spruce today

    favorite customer of the night,
    a dude named lindsay:
he was about to leave after paying and then he said "oh, bryan adams just came on the radio, thats definitely my cue to get outta here!"
and i said something like i wish i coulda left at that point too

    moral of the story is:
b adams is fun to sing to people every once in a while, but he's not fun to listen to a few times a day every day.

    you used the wrong vaccuum!
    so.... im doin good!
work's okay i guess... theyre gonna train me to open now.. i have mixed feelings about that.
-rest of the day is free
    -but 6 am!? yuck
    -breakfast people are grumpy

housesitting ended fairly oddly- the man was ticked that i wasnt there "24 hours a day" like he thought i would be. he said his neighbors thought i was NEVER home, and was impossible for the bill payin lady to get ahold of me, but i told her my whole work schedule in advance and gave her my cel number which she never called (she was totally impossible to get ahold of aswell). the old russian man then started guilt trippin me saying that he tried getting his neighbors housesitter that actually stays there all day minus takin the dog out, but she was unavailable at this time. who cares? do you really expect a 21 year old who has a job and a social life to stay in a creepy stinky house ALL day long and no friends are allowed in?
and he said this is because "the insurace wont pay for a break in if im not home" ha! thats what insurance is for! isnt it!?
anyways, he paid me in full and properly attached my bike horn and light onto my bike....
ahhh, i dont do well with foreign people, even if my intentions are very good/honest.

now i miss living right in comox... cumberland is lonely, but i do like my own bed.

anyone have a decent guitar they want to sell me for cheap?!
    woo!
    good night kids!

i have been housesitting for the past couple weeks.
i bought a sweet cruiser bike and a horn with it.
i have been working alot, and making lots of subs.
i have had a lot of time to work on my sad folk songs alone in my dark, pink curtained room, with russian communist paintings which really complete the atmosphere!
i had a great b day with dana emily and dan
    amandas b day was fun
me and brandon found him a van, we are now usually driving around in it, and the hippies really want it for hotboxing.
    gotta go to work now.

    hey kids!

ummm.... subway's okay. better than DQ was thats for sure.
but some funny people come in, thats also for sure.
i hate suggestive selling, even though subway isnt really too bad, im bad at it. i dont even like asking if they want their subs toasted!
anyways, i realized that march is full of birthdays. CRAZY.
i guess june is a popular month to do nasty's.
my birthday is tomorrow. 21. woah, its weird to be that old.
im starting to lose my excuses to act like an idiot!

theres a party happening apparently for dana, emily and i, as well as a pre show for amandas b day. friday-trailer- be there folks!

i miss the bands that used to play shows when i was in grade 9 hahahhah
last night i cleaned my room out sooo well, and boxed everything up so if i move out, im ready.
okay, gotta get ready for work

    THIS SHIP BE SUNK!
so.... i work for subway now.
its alllright i guess, a lot better than dq was thats for sure.
but it is hard to make food infront of people when they want hundreds of olives but you're only allowed a specific amount or you could possibly risk getting fired or something.
    but its okay!

    yesterday was good.
hung out with candice dawg. some good cold times were held indeed (i hate the word indeed, but i use it alot)
i attended the wooden cannon cd release show
now, i am proud of those boys... this means i will tell you all of my near first memories of these wonderful menkids.

tyler - i met this dude at a courtenay jr. dance. he was THE NEW KID at school or something, he had spikey hair and baggy jeans. he was very nice as well! (still is of course) i also remember when he started wearing tight jeans... and was made fun of alot, but whatever, tyler was ahead of his time! woot! and i think his gf's pretty nice.

dana - now dana came to royston el. with two broken arms, and he hung out with my brother a lot. he was quite loud. (still is) once i dressed him and jade up as "punk rockers" for halloween with BLACK NAIL POLISH (oh goodness). he bought my bass slappy, and still has it to this day but bands wont let him play it cuz its crap! i have his voice on tape singing star wars songs. good times

cam - now i grew up with cams older bro angus, so i probably seen cam around before he started 'bein in the scene,' but i remember back in the day when he was little with a little mohawk (its okay ive been there too) and was quite quiet (still is). in the present, i can be seen coveting nearly all of his talent and possessions ie, car, guitar, wool coats, painting abilities, hangout time with amanda.

jamie - i remember him being this crazy dancin kid, who gradually got more and more sarcastic. jamie once threw up on my porch, then left his backpack there. my roomates and i stumbled across a bloodbrothers cd and i guess we took it as our own. its was played a lot and then beer spilt on it and it got so scratched we couldnt play it anymore. sorry jamie, didnt know if you knew that or not. jamie rulz hella.

... i dont know why i just went through my own biography of them, but i guess its cool to see people grow up and progress in being able to play more than the mark tom and travis show cd
good job bros, keep up the lifen!

after the show we went to the trailer.
i took fun photos of the haps around the place. many people were caught off guard.
the valley sucks but the people in it are still pretty dang rad.

its snowing alot in cumberland, im watching movies by the fire. tonight is nice.

so today i went for a stroll in cumberland.
i NEVER walk around those parts much... no real reason to.
but today i went to THE BIG STORE to look around and wanted to take pictures with my now fixed camera, sinse i havent gotten to use it yet right? there should be excitement runnin through my veins. and there is, until i realized...
    MY CAMERA ISNT EFFIN FIXED!!!!!!!!!!
lined up a neat little shot at one of the pubs and click *shutter sticks* "FAAACK!"
the shutter's not supposed to be open for very long at all for something like 1500th/second! BAH!
my mom's gonna be pissed when i tell her. i hope studio one gives me a new camera for the time/money they've taken from me.
    jeez.

now things to be happy for

brandons back, which i am so stoked for. he rulz hella bling blang.
going to vancouver tomorrow.. i really hope its better than last time.
got a haircut.. finally! i was starting to look like a hobo (not that its a bad thing, but i am looking for work.)

it was the first time in at least 7 years she didnt have to work on christmas day.
and she made a really good din din.
my bro got me a guitar amp, so im really stoked and happy. its the same as his, which is good. im glad i didnt get one of those new amps that only have "effects" and mimicking other amp sounds on it, because that drives me CRAZY!
and my mom's paying for my camera to get fixed.
and some dude from my church gave me a sweet ass distortion pedal too. rad!

    ah.....
the doers/fun100/you say party! show was really good, im glad people showed up (thanks dudes!) and the bands were awesome rad. they didnt get paid a cent for coming up, so if you bought merch from them, COOL!
i went with them to the nanaimo show for a couple days, which was fun too.... tom (i think) from 123 red light ran up and gave me and bruce 8 dollars and a pack of tic tacs for no reason. thats why i love drunk people.

we then mosied on over to vancouver on monday night... bruce ryan and i beat the tray ladies as best we could to the cold fries people left behind and ate a ton of them for dinner.
got in town about 6. helped unload gear and made my way to see nancy and nick and hannah!!!!

it was really nice to see them and everybody else. i miss those fools a lot. we watched movies and ate crepes and had a jolly time.

came back on wednesday and stayed up most of the night eating junk and having an air band comp.
    FUN STUFF!

now im all done my shopping, and im getting excited (i made our christmas tree out of a green scarf, a coathanger, staples, newspaper, and tissue for snow... i RULE)

on a side note... working at the thai village restaurant is now done.
BUT, the cook is going to thailand for a month, and her son cant go (dads a pyscho, wanted to hire a strange nanny, mom doesnt want stranger in her house) so me, being the joker said "HA! i could pretty much take care of adrien! and then qwan, the cook said "oh yeah! adrien call your dad tell him ive found someone! blah blah!" so i might be looking after this funny 13 year old for a month, driving him to school, making sure he gets homework done, etc and getting paid!
plus i get along with him so its cool i think. i hope

last night only ONE couple came in for food (and 4 take out orders)
and tonight 4 tables came in.
man, i feel bad for them.
and its hard to remember everything asked of the job when you dont really have many people to work with.
whatevs, the people are pretty cool, so i like working with them.
tonight after work i picked up jamie-wok, and dana read's.
    we went to tha trailuh.
watched some wild boys and 70's show.
i wish amanda could have come over and joined the fun, but school is tomorrow. NEXT TIME
i like the snow, but i dont really like driving in it, mostly because im not into the other drivers... they kinda suck.

    heidi go seek!
    anyways

    its been pretty good lately.
i live at lindsays pretty much i think.
today i watched "one flew over the cukoos nest," and i didnt really like it.
i always tell people to watch movies first AND THEN read the book, and this time i did the other way around.
i was upset with it cuz it left so much out, some really important stuff, and the narrorator, Chief (who pretended to be deaf and mute) did not narorrate, so he was like a minimal charactor! not fun! but he was like 7 feet tall.
now i want to read the book again so i can remember all the good stuff before i give it back to amanda! (i have to give it back amanda!)

i start my 3 week "practicum" at the thai village tomorrow... but im a little mad, because im starting work a week before everyone.. which means, i still have to go to school for 5 hours, right after that i go to work for who knows how long (dont know when the place closes. i dont know what my schedule is... which may interfere with the previously made plans for the shows with THE COSMETICS this weekend (which i AM NOT ditching out on!) so im going to be very tired if this goes on forever.
we'll see. hope it works out.

i made my first purchase off of ebay yesterday!!... a harmonica and "beginners guide to playing blues harmonica VHS instructional video!" STOKED! IM SO THE NEXT BOB DYLAN... maybe.... not.
BUT IT WILL BE FUN! HA!
    okay, too much.
    bed time.
i gotta babysit too in the morning.
so im guessing tomorrows gonna be a looooooong 12-13 hour day. glorious.
